We want to share this recent email about our heater shirt

"Reefer - This rashguard rocks! I was skeptical about how much warmth it'd provide, but I was pretty shocked by how well it worked. Usually after a 2-3 hour session in the winter I'm shivering a bit in my 3/2 fullsuit, but with your rashguard I'm not shivering at all. The warmth was apparent immediately and lasted throught the session. It doesn't feel bulky like extra rubber on my arms and shoulders. The "flush" from the whitewater was less than usual. There are BS products out there, but this isn't one of them. As a former NJ surfer, I'd super recommend this rashguard to anyone surfing north of Hatteras. It ain't bad for us OC pussies either."

® Thermoflex® is a specially blended neoprene made exclusively for Coral Reef®. It is warmer, it is stronger and will last you years longer than the competitors' wetsuits. Don't believe us - ask around - next time you see someone wearing a Coral Reef Wetsuit just ask them how long they have had their suit.

Ask the expert: Solar surfboard?

Q. Have you heard anything about a solar-heated surfboard?

A. As a matter of fact, yes I have. Although it is not really a heated surfboard. It has some sort of built in solar panel and you can actually plug in things like your cell phone charger, Ipod player, electric shaver, etc. etc. etc. I think the idea is to use that function of the surfboard on land though. I am not sure about how safe it would be to plug in the hair dryer when you are sitting in the lineup waiting for a wave. For info on this, you can go talk to Tony at Coral Reef Wetsuits. He is on Beach Blvd. between the 405 and the 22 freeways in Westminster. It’s his deal.
